It can often be difficult to find villas that offer the best of all worlds: private, yet within walking distance of bars and restaurants, traditional in style but modern in taste and offering a pool, whilst also being located near the sea with an enviable view. This villa, has all of the above and more.

The villa is located in Pera a traditional village in the Algarve between Albufeira and Armacao de Pera and the property is accessed via a large wooden gate that opens out from a street into the garden area.

A stone pathway leads from this gate up to the house with a lawn to the left of the path as you approach the villa and a large terrace with swimming pool to the right.

The ground floor of the villa consists of a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a large studio consisting of a galleried child’s room with twin beds and cot, and a “parent’s” room with double bed and bathroom below. This studio has its own sea-facing terrace.

The first floor consists of a spacious lounge and separate kitchen with doors that open out onto a sizeable terrace with excellent views over Algarve coast. A separate set of stairs then lead down from this kitchen area to a master bedroom located to the rear of the villa. This double bedroom has an ensuite shower room.

The pool area also boasts an adjacent separate cavernous studio room (which is part of the ground floor of the villa) which acts as a second lounge together with sofas, loungers and a toilet.

This exceptional villa is ideal for a family or group of friends who wish to have privacy, whilst at the same time having all the additional attractions (bars, restaurants, shops, excursion boats etc) all within driving distance.

Despite the modest development that has taken place in recent years this little town has retained its attractive charm. A small road by-pass introduced a few years ago. The winding narrow streets were only ever intended to accommodate pedestrians or horse and cart. Some houses date back to the 19th or early 20th century, all of which add so much character and charm for the visitor to enjoy. With a population of around 2,000 it was formerly called “Pêra de Cima” or Upper Pêra to distinguish it from Armação de Pêra when its name was “Pêra de Baixo”, Lower Pêra. The latter being the place where fishermen cast their nets off the coast.

Prices start from 1200 Euros per week in the low season to 2250 Euros in the peak season.
